Still aiming for a first half of 2010 release, Blizzard finished their twitter chat on Friday, march the 12th, promising us a major content patch as well as the Galaxy map editor by the end of April.
Blizzard are planning on making chat rooms in the new Battle.net, they will be organized after the user's interests; this will not, however, be something we'll see in the beta, but something that will most likely be implemented with a patch after the launch of the game.
"We will be adding a few new maps as we continue to release patches including a few 3v3 and 4v4 maps"
They also announced during the chat the map editor is still under construction, and that their goal is to release it for the beta testers by the end of April. This will give the map editors less than two months head start, as they're still aiming for a first half of the year release. April will be a big month for the beta testers, Blizzard also promises to release a major content patch with some achievements, improved voice chat and much more. They are planning on releasing more 2v2 maps, and also a few 3v3 and 4v4 ones soon. Another interesting point is that they are currently looking at the terran's mech, and will give us balance changes for it as soon as they can.
