RRQ Hoshi are Playoff bound after MPL Indonesia Season 15 Week 7

RRQ Hoshi have qualified for the Playoffs of MPL Indonesia Season 15 after a stunning result in Week 7 of the Regular Season.

RRQ Hoshi have qualified for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Indonesia Season 15 Playoffs after two wins in Week 7 of the Regular Season. The King of Kings cemented their claim as the best team in the league with two decisive wins in the week to improve their record to 10-2.

RRQ Hoshi's first victory of Week 7 came in the Classic Derby against EVOS, where they battered the White Tigers in a 2-0 sweep. The second came from a back-and-forth meeting against Geek Fam ID, where the Geeks pulled all the stops before eventually succumbing to a close 2-1 loss against RRQ Hoshi.

With these victories, RRQ Hoshi has amassed 10 league wins and became the first team to qualify for the Playoffs, leaving only five spots for the rest of the teams to occupy.

EVOS' fall from grace in Season 15

Two losses in the week continued EVOS' nightmare in MPL Indonesia Season 15. They are currently on a five-match losing streak, with their last win coming against ONIC on the first day of Week 5. The White Tigers now sit in seventh place, under threat of elimination from Playoff contention despite a successful start to the season.

EVOS, following the arrival of Albert Neilsen “ALBERTTT” Iskandar, looked like one of the favourites to win the league this season. An early victory over the Season 14 champions bolstered their claim, and fans expected the return of the EVOS and RRQ Hoshi era in MPL Indonesia. However, an unstable season saw EVOS score victories over big teams like Team Liquid ID and ONIC but suffer losses to Dewa United Esports and Alter Ego Esports. 

The next two weeks will test EVOS' mentality. They will face ONIC in Week 8 before battling Natus Vincere and Dewa United in the final week. To secure a Playoff spot, they need to win all three of those matches, especially the one against ONIC.

MPL Indonesia Season 15 will continue with Week 8 on 16 May. EVOS will have a do-or-die showdown against ONIC Esports, while the battle for second place will take place in the second day with Geek Fam and Team Liquid ID facing off.
