Ocean Black's losing streak extends to five matches after Week 3 of MPL Malaysia Season 15

The newly-promoted Ocean Black squad are now on a five-match losing streak after the conclusion of Week 3 of the MPL Malaysia Season 15 Regular Season.

Newly-promoted team Ocean Black are now on a five-match losing streak following the conclusion of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Malaysia Season 15 Regular Season. They lost twice in the week against Aero Esports and JP NINERS, two teams that have also been struggling in the league so far.

In the first match of the week, Ocean Black were swept by Aero Esports after two stunning displays of discipline by Ian Jakob “Rindo” Seguiran in the Jungle. Ocean Black's second match saw another 2-0 loss, this time to former ninth-placed team JP Niners after a brilliant utilisation of revamped heroes like Kimmy and Gloo.

Here are the MPL Malaysia Season 15 Regular Season standings at the end of Week 3:

  2. HomeBois (4-0) +7  GD
  3. Team Vamos (4-1) +3 GD

Selangor Red Giants OG's flawless run continues

MPL Malaysia stalwarts Selangor Red Giants OG continued their flawless run in Season 15 with another stunning 2-0 victory, this time against Todak. Mohd Norhadim Bin Mohamad “Stormie” Rizwan was on another level of ruthless on the mid lane against an in-form Todak, earning the MVP nod for the match because of his flawless gameplay.

This week also saw Muhammad “Yums” Suhairi reach 2,000 total assists in MPL Malaysia, the highest total of any player in the history league. So far, they are determined to get a slot at the MLBB Mid-Season Cup to defend their only international championship.

The dominant force of MPL Malaysia will face both Aero Esports and JP Niners in Week 4 before meeting with fierce rivals HomeBois in Week 5. Two wins in Week 4 will be enough for them to secure a Playoff spot, as it would be too far for DXSoul Esports to catch up from seventh place.

MPL Malaysia Season 15 will continue with Week 4 with a confrontation between Selangor Red Giants OG against Aero Esports on 9 May 2025.
