The backdrop of a video released by NAVI looked identical to that seen in another post by Rebellion Esports.
Ukrainian esports organisation Natus Vincere (NAVI) has teased its next venture in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) will most likely be a takeover of Rebellion Esports and entry into the MLBB Professional League (MPL) Indonesia.
NAVI recently posted a story where an actor says “Gua bisa bantu”, which means “I can help” in Bahasa Indonesia, while pouring a yellow liquid into a cup.
While the post only insinuates their interest in Indonesian esports, the backdrop looks almost identical to the one Rebellion Esports used in their recent Instagram reels. Karsten “Karss” William, Rebellion esports EXP Laner, was asked if his contract got frozen in the reel before hearing whispers calling him a clown. Aside from the similar backdrop to NAVI's video, the subtitle box and font for both videos also looked identical.
NAVI's acquisition of Rebellion Esports is expected to be addressed at the latter's Perayaan Terakhir event on February 8. The festival was an officially approved event by MPL Indonesia and will address the future of Rebellion Esports in the league.
If confirmed, this acquisition of Rebellion Esports won't be the first time that NAVI dived into MLBB esports. They previously took over the Deus Vult roster, which had then-newcomer
Stanislav “SAWO” Reshniak in the lineup in 2021. However, their tenure on the scene wasn't that successful, as they were disbanded in 2022 after a respectable 7th-8th place showing on the M3 World Championship.
With a new team and a possible new lineup, the MPL Indonesia Season 15 could become more chaotic than before.
