T1 creates history once more.
Records are meant to be broken, especially when it's one of your own and T1 have gone and done just that. They are now 15-0 in the LCK Spring Split, beating Kwangdong Freecs to further strengthen their hold on the top spot. That win also creates a new unbeaten run for Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok and his team as the star mid-laner was also part of the previous SK Telekom T1 that held the 14-0 record.
The win comes after a frantic series between T1 and Freecs, which went to all three games. After winning the first game, T1 still looked rather uncomfortable and Freecs took full advantage, coming out swinging in the second game and forcing the third. However, when push comes to shove, T1 showed just what they're all about, convincingly keeping Freecs at bay for the majority of the match and taking the win to clean out the series.
Both Choi "Zeus" Woo-je and Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyeong stuck to the same champions for all three games with Jayce and Jinx respectively. Moon "Oner" Hyeon-joon was also on form today with his Lee Sin in both games one and three, which was crucial in T1's victory. Unfortunately, his use of Renata Glasc did not work out as that was one of the downsides of their game plan in the second match.
As for the team's star mid-laner, Faker was just doing Faker things with his Ahri in game one, Galio in game two, and Kai'Sa in game three. Despite an average game two performance, Faker proved just why he's the best in the business by coming back with one of his signature champions.
There were already rumblings of T1 breaking their record when they were 12-0 going into the midway point of the LCK Spring Split. With three more victories under their belt, T1 have all but certainly cemented their place in the record books as one of the most dominant, if not the most in the LCK.
