SKT T1: Marin, Easyhoon, and Tom released

After KeSPA's recent eSports awards ceremony, Marin, Easyhoon, and Tom make their leave from the successful team they have been in for a long while.

There have been many who have thought that JiHoon "Easyhoon" Lee should had left earlier to find a new home with his remarkable skills on the Rift. However, KyungHwan "Marin" Jang and JaeHyun "Tom" Lim join Easyhoon as they dismiss themselves from the team just after Korea eSports Awards sponsored by KeSPA.

According to an article in Korea, both Byunghun Choi and Jungkyun "Kkoma" Kim will remain as the general manager and head coach respectively. Furthermore, Seong-Ung "Bengi" Bae, Junsik "Bang" Bae, and Jaewan "Wolf" Lee have established another contract with the team for another potential successful year of SKT T1 dominance.

As for SangHyeok "Faker" Lee and YeChan "Scout" Lee, we are not absolutely sure with their decisions yet. Faker is undeniably the superstar player globally. Scout, in the other hand, is an exceptional mid-laner with great mechanics. Scout's only problem is his lack of professional experience as a team-player. While it is likely to see both Faker and Scout sticking with SKT T1, it is important to note that these players might change their minds.

[Update] Scout has signed with SKT T1 with the rest of the gang.

Where will Easyhoon, Tom, and Marin go? According to some information, many teams in Asia have already locked in with their players and staff. This possibility could only lead west. In another source, however, they may go to other Korean or Chinese teams. Recently, Longzhu IM has announced to play a money-ball game with their new sponsorship deals. Will we see the rise of Longzhu IM?

While only time will tell, it's entertaining to think of all the possibilities. What do you think about the changes? Where do you think these players will go? Leave a comment and join in the conversation.
