Team Impulse to sell roster and LCS spot

Today Team Impulse's COO, Alex Gu, announced that their NALCS slot as well as the Team Impulse brand itself were up for sale, effective immediately. This news comes at the tail end of some speculation about the fate of the team after a somewhat tumultuous summer split.

The team started out performing well in the regular season, but ran into some issues after announcing that Austin "Gate" Yu would be replacing the analyst-favorite Adrian "Adrian" Ma as the starting support. Before they could adapt to this change, however, they immediately were faced with an even greater issue. Week nine of the NALCS saw star mid laner Yu "XiaoWeiXiao" Xian banned due to Elo-boosting. Gate took over his spot in the mid lane, and Adrian returned to the support role. The damage had already been done though, as the post-season was quite hard on Impulse. They found themselves only managing a fourth place finish and were unable to represent NA at worlds after being the second team in a row to fall before the suddenly dominant Cloud 9 in the regional qualifiers.

The organization is looking to sell the team post-haste, so the new owners have sufficient time to prepare for the coming split. No asking price has been announced. (Click here for more information)
