During a trial period set by Gambit Gaming, niQ has passed and will represent the mid lane for Gambit Gaming.
While Sebastian 'niQ' Robak does not have very much LAN experience, his success in solo queue as well as his performance for Gambit Gaming thus far in the LCS was deemed strong enough to fill in for Gambit Gaming in his attempts to fill the shoes of Alexy 'Alex Ich' Ichetovkin. Here's a statement by the new mid laner:
"I am very happy to join Gambit Gaming, as it is really big opportunity for me to improve as a player. Joining such a great team is a really big responsibility, so now I have to train harder and more than ever before. I am really thankful to Gambit for giving me a chance and I will do everything I can to not let them down."
While niQ is a strong player, he lacks in LAN experience. However, the team believes that he will acquire the necessary experience of playing at the professional level by the end of the current split and it is, therefore, a worthwile investment. Gambit Gaming currently resides second to last in the league, but is known to pull out results when it really counts.
