After the victories of Supa Hot Crew and Copenhagen Wolves over Cloud 9 Eclipse and Denial Gaming respectively, the two previous contenders join Millenium in another full season to participate in the Summer LCS split and have a shot at getting to Worlds.

The contesting teams were unable to utilize their full roster due to age restrictions within the LCS, which may have played into the lack of success that certain allegedly super-powered challenger teams such as Cloud 9 Eclipse had with the loss of their superstar jungler k0u. In addition, Millenium found success yesterday in their set against Ninjas in Pyjamas, narrowly closing it out 3-2.

The opposing teams would not find the same luck to day as Supa Hot Crew decisively swept Cloud 9 3-0 with the following set looking similar.  Copenhagen Wolves were seen as the strongest team fighting for relegation from last split.  While the Polish squad of Denial eSports put up a good fight in the first game, Copenhagen Wolves were quick to close it out.

No new entrants found their way inside of EU LCS and we will be seeing a mirror of the Spring Split in the upcoming summer group stage, finding out who makes it into playoffs and finds a spot in Worlds.
