After a 3-0 finish in the BO5 grand finals against Fnatic, KT Bullets take home $60,000 and have their name imprinted on the trophy for IEM World Champions.

FNC vs. KTB

The first game of the grand finals would look relatively pleasant for Fnatic as Yellowstar was able to force an early lash away from Mafa, blackshielding the incoming CC.  It only got better for Fnatic from there as sOAZ was able to juke and early gank top which resulted in first blood for him.  Afterwords, they pushed their lead further to acquire an easy 3-0 start, the first tower of the game, and the first dragon.

KT Rolster B were able to roam bot and get back into the game, but Fnatic still fought valiently, staying ahead and even denying KTB an almost assured dragon due to a well placed Explosive Cask from xPeke.  Unfortunately, Fnatic picked an inopportune time to go for a baron fight and KTB were able to acquire it.  While Fnatic were still even in gold, it was a catastrophic mental loss for Fnatic and would only go downhill from there after KTB took game 1.

Game 2 started off the opposite way with Yellowstar having the disadvantage this time around with his flash being burned early instead.  KT Rolster Bullets found a first blood on Cyanide after an aggressive invade followed by a blue steal.  Fnatic still had some fight in them and were able to have a huge turnaround, with sOAZ leading the charge top and Fnatic getting the dragon and acquiring more kills in the bottom lane.

27 minutes in, KT Rolster Bullets would make things look dismal for Fnatic, grabbing an ace and swinging to dragon.  Fnatic weren't down in every category, though, and still kept the lead in towers.  However, things would slowly go downhill when KT Rolster Bullets' champions began to outscale the early game composition of Fnatic and grabbed baron.  The baron was enough to push the series to a 2-0.

The third, and regrettably, final game of the set would test Rekkles' merit as he went with a Vayne pick after Fnatic had finally banned out the troublesome Kha'zix away from InSec during the drafting phase.  KTB pulled off a KT Rolster special of running mid lane marksman with support Karma to shred at mid, but a ray of light approached with Rekkles grabbing two early kills early, one resulting from a brave dive in the top lane with the help of Cyanide.

Eventually, you could tell that the morale of the last two games was taking it's toll on the performance of the Fnatic players in this game and KT Rolster Bullets simply were not being stopped in their approach.  After grabbing dragons and winning multiple skirmishes as well as the vision war, KTB continued snowballing very hard.  KTB would represent Korea in pulling out the second 3-0 finisher for an international world championship in a row.
