While the Fantastic Five weren't as successful tonight as the other Vietnamese team, it showed impressive games that displayed the huge improvements their country as a whole has made.

The Sentinels pulled out a strong split-push composition with BenW on Tryndamere. This meant that SGS needed to win the laning phase hard, as the Barbarian King can't do a lot when played from behind. Luckily for them, DDan on Xin Zhao was able to make his top lane win with an early gank. SF5 responded by focusing down on mid and bot, effectively evening up in kills. Unfortunately, this left Tryndamere open to push hard in his lane, giving SGS the map pressure they need to make better rotations in the mid-late game. With this, SGS went ahead and got back its lead, pushing it further with better items to make a strong push towards the nexus.
After that painful loss, SF5 took out its frustration on the Manila Eagles, who together with fellow Filipino squad Imperium Pro Team, are definitely not going through to the bracket stage. With an open Kassadin though, Chock and the rest of MLE built a strong pick composition, aiming to snowball the Void Walker and lead the charge to the team's second victory. Unfortunately, the Fantastic Five were too pumped up to grab a victory after the first game, and Chock got crushed in mid. Minas and Nixwater went out of control on Caitlyn and LeBlanc, while Gony on Jax did the Jax thing and just farmed until he was a monster. Going 1-1, SF5 becomes the 2nd Vietnamese team to go through groups, with a second place finish just behind the Taipei Assassins.
