With their eyes on the Coke Zero Challenger Series, Curse Academy has added two new players to their starting roster: jungler Patrick “Titours” Lefort and support Nicolas “Gleebglarbu” Haddad.
The changes come after Curse Academy released former jungler and streamer Brad “OneBadBrad” Watson in December, and presumably support player Jason “Tsatsulow” Hawes has also been let go.
Curse Academy had a summer of mixed results, taking first place in the Amateur League Championship Series but falling in the quarterfinals of the North American Challenger League at the hands of LoLPro, subbing in for the main Curse team. Looking towards the Coke Zero Series, Curse Academy is currently in the top 10 of the ranked ladder, qualifying them for the Play-In stage of the event, and is clearly making attempts to strengthen their roster before the start of the tournament.
Titours comes to the team from a Challenger team known as TKS Marios while Gleebglarbu most recently played for Napkins In Disguise, meaning he comes with some major tournament experience.
About his addition to the squad, Gleebglarbu says:
“I bring a positive attitude and a good work ethic to the team. I think I can help Fabbbyyy really grow and he can teach me a lot. I feel like everyone on the team really gets along on a personal level.”
He also had comments on the stiff competition Curse Academy is going to be expecting in the Coke Zero Series:
“We have a really good shot at making it. LMQ, LoLPro and Challenger8 all seem really strong. Those are the three teams that I think will give us the most trouble”
Curse Academy Roster:
Keenan “Rhux” Santos (Top)
Patrick “Titours” Lefort (Jungle)
Phillip “OnlyJaximus” Carter (Mid)
Jovani “fabbbyyy” Guillen (AD)
Nicolas “Gleebglarbu” Haddad (Support)
