LNL Winter concludes with ahq victorious

After ten and a half weekends, the Taiwan/Macau/Hong Kong region's first League of Legends Nova League ends.  ahq, Taipei Assassins, Taipei Snipers, and yoe Flash Wolves are seeded for LNL Spring, while the remaining teams drop to the qualifiers.

Though the top four seeds were already decided, LNL concluded the winter season with eight matches.  Outcomes seemed all but predetermined, as the Taipei Snipers defeated Cyber Games Areana LEGENDs, ahq eSports Club came out victorious against the yoe Flash Wolves and HK Attitude, the Taipei Aassassins followed suit taking their final wins over the Flash Wolves and the LEGENDs, the yoe Flash Wolves defeated YouCantStopMe, and YouCantStopMe crushed HK Attitude Priest.  The only surprise this weekend came when YouCantStopMe took the final win against HK Attitude.  Once in second place, HK Attitude has fallen considerably during the second half of the season.

The final standings pit ahq eSports Club in first place with twenty wins and only a single loss, Taipei Assassins in second with fifteen wins and six losses, and the Taipei Snipers in third after their triumpant return from fifth place, having won thirteen of their twenty one matches.  They only pull ahead of the yoe Flash Wolves in fourth because of their 3-0 head-to-head record, as they have an identical score.

Though the standings may seem predictable, the last few weeks of LNL brought developments that were anything but.  Roster changes ensued, including the standings altering swap of OhReal from jungle to mid and the acquisition of Winds that put the Snipers back on top.  Teams have taken to banning Teemo against Taipei Assassins for Bebe's AD Teemo pick.  Maple of the yoe Flash Wolves favors Lulu in the mid lane.  His teammates also brought out jungle Wukong, and the last two games of this weekend featured the new Chinese go-to jungle champion, Fiddlesticks.

The top four teams advance to LNL and GPL Spring, while HK Attitude, YouCantStopMe, HK Attitude Priest, and Cyber Games Arena LEGENDs drop to the LNL qualifier.  The LNL has brought more competition and a venue for experimentation to the Taiwanese region.  Follow Gosu Gamers for coverage of the Spring season.
