LGD Gaming and Energy Pacemaker HK qualify for LPL Spring after a strong performance in the Promotion tournament.
Throughout the bracket stage of the LPL Promotion, LGD Gaming made a very strong case for themselves. They didn't lose to either Vici Gaming, despite how close the teams looked at the TGA Grand Prix, or Young Glory. Energy Pacemaker HK, the Hong Kong team that came in last in the Summer LPL, also defeated both Vici Gaming and Young Glory within the first four matches.
By then, it was clear LGD Gaming and Energy Pacemaker HK would get spots in the Spring LPL, but they still had a score to settle. LGD Gaming proved themselves the most impressive of the four teams in the Promotion by failing to lose a single match. LGD Gaming have looked stronger with their new lineup, especially with the acquisition of LuciferYYY or 3Y, who gave a commanding performance on Syndra in the TGA Grand Prix.
Young Glory, despite their recent explosive performance against their sister team, invictus Gaming, and placing above Energy Pacekmaker HK in the Summer LPL, failed to qualify. They even lost their game with Vici Gaming, placing them at the bottom of the group.
As LMQ iBUYPOWER are now competing in North America and even forfeited their match in the Demacian Cup, it is still possible that Vici Gaming could take their spot in LPL. This information has yet to be verified, however.
