After a hard fought four game set, KT Bullets managed to wipe out CJ Entus Blaze, meeting SKT T1 in the semi-finals.
Game 1 kicked off with KT bullets finding a very noticeable advantage. Ahead 5 towers to 2 throughout the mid-game, KT Bullets was outmatching CJ Blaze in every aspect in the early game. While KT Bullets may have had excellent early play, CJ Blaze did not count themselves out.
CJ Blaze managed to pull themselves together despite KT Bullets' perfect early game, and make things happen as a 5 man team. With Kakao getting caught out and hitting a trap and revealing himself out of stealth, he found himself caught and CJ Blaze were able to capitalize with a middle inhibitor turret and baron. With an amazing comeback, CJ Entus Blaze were able to outlast KT Bullets , taking the first win.
In Game 2, CJ Blaze ran a similar composition with a lot of poke, large meatwalls, and Caitlyn. The game had a very passive start, with both teams farming and trading towers. Teamfights continued to go evenly until an overzealous invade at 16 minutes by CJ Blaze, where Ambition felt his end at the hand of a well placed tibbers.
With the sheer strength of CJ Blaze's late game, KT Bullets did exactly what they should have done: push objectives early. KT Bullets were able to slowly surmount an advantage and take the first game win momentum off of CJ Blaze. Eventually, Blaze's bulky Mundo and Shyvana frontline wasn't enough to hold off KT Bullets' tower aggression, and they were able to take the second game.
Once again in the Game 3, very similar compositions would arise from both teams. This time, KT Bullets would surmount a lead much quicker, finding a 5-1 lead in 13 minutes and taking a tower directly after CJ Blaze managed to take a tower from them. CJ Blaze didn't have much breathing room in this game and KT Bullets were able to relentlessly siege.
In the end, KT Bullets was able to secure a win without even dropping more than a single kill to their opposition. In a slow but steady push, KT bullets took the bottom inhibitor followed by the middle inhibitor. KT Bullets convincingly took game 3.
The 4th and final game of the set would have CJ Blaze switching up the composition a bit with DayDream going Nunu jungle and Emperor favoring a Lucian pick over Caitlyn. The team was much more focused on engage rather than poking and sieging, and with it they were able to snag first blood with an early invade engage. CJ Entus Blaze managed to pick themselves back up on their feet.
Both teams had commenced into a neutral early game with towers traded and kills traded evenly. The teams proceeded to stay even with both playing exceptionally well very far into the lategame. All solo laners and marksman had acquired over 400 farm and everyone was max build. With the long spawn times and KT Bullets finding proper picks, Blaze were not able to defend well enough which earned KT Bullets the spot in the semi-finals.
