Gambit Gaming's midlaner speaks about his short visit to the United States to represent Europe in the Battle of the Atlantic
On his recent Facebook post, Alex Ich talked about his experience going to Los Angeles for the Battle of the Atlantic. About the event itself, he felt that a more standard tournament format would be better, instead of head-to-head fights:
As it was we just went to US for 1 bo3 and our game didn't mean anything in terms of EU vs US, because we were only getting 2 points and only Fnatic's game was destiny of EU squad.
Speaking of Fnatic, he wrote a bit about that team's bout against NA's Cloud 9, with the opinion that C9 deserved the victory with stronger picks. As for their own matches, he felt that he kept overextending, and it was the teamfights that helped them secure the victory over XDG. He ended his post with his thoughts about the midlaners he saw and fought:
I learned something from midlaners that I played against, not sure that I like this playstyle though.
He is currently back at his home in Russia with his wife and child.
