In a teaser on their website today, Riot has unveiled their seasonal event for the winter months: Snowdown.

Much like the Harrowing, Snowdown will feature a handful of news skins and the return for purchase of all festive skins from previous years.
The new skins were revealed to be Snow Day Singed, Snowstorm Sivir and Winter Wonder Lulu.

The announcement also came with an added bonus: a new featured game mode called Showdown. Showdown will involve 1v1 and 2v2 queues on the Howling Abyss map, and much like the current One for All mode will only be available for a limited time. The map is likely to serve as a substitute for future planned official 1v1 and 2v2 map Magma Chamber, which was showcased at the Season 3 All-Stars event in China. Full implementation of this game type will be detailed in the future.
