The second day of the Promotion Qualifier ends, with Amateur League Championship Series teams Quantic Gaming, No Dice Gaming and Team LoLPro emerging victorious over their opponents.
The first game saw the Korean squad Quantic facing off against The Shy Nuns. Quantic jungler Prime, playing Elise, got his team ahead early with a few well-placed ganks. From there, Quantic dominated in the vision game, controlling the entire map and denying TSN vision with early oracles, systematically starving TSN of farm and map control. Quantic SuNo was especially impressive on Ahri, going 7-0-2 as Quantic took down the Nexus in 25 minutes to punch their ticket into the group stage.
In the second game, No Dice Gaming took on Team Such Doge. Team Such Doge took an early lead, getting first blood on the back of a well-executed dive, taking out RF Legendary’s Shyvanna under the tier-one tower. But, while the kills all went Such Doge’s way, the superior objective control (including an impressive Dragon steal by marksman player Neeko on Lucian) was No Dice’s, and they amassed a significant gold advantage while seizing map control. Eventually, the pressure on their towers was too much, and Team Such Doge fell to No Dice Gaming’s superior split-pushing and lane control in just under half an hour.
Finally, the revamped LoLPro team, headed by former Curse mid-laner Nyjacky, took on Challenger team Girlfriends. The game started with plenty of action in all lanes, with LoLPro coming out ahead, snagging first blood for Nyjacky on Graggas as well as a kill on GF marksman player Apacha on Caitlyn, while the Girlfriends managed to pick up an early kill for mid-laner Grumpylol on Fizz in a tower dive. After the kill heavy early game, though, the match slowed down considerably, with only a handful of kills coming in for the Girlfriends. They failed to capitalize however, and LoLPro took a significant tower and gold lead, culminating in a four-for-nothing fight in the top lane after which LoLPro took a commanding lead. From there, an ace secured the victory for Nyjacky and crew at 25 minutes.
The final game of the night did not occur, as Otacool was disqualified for failing to have all their players ready for the match. Therefore their opponents, SouLControL, enter Group B by default.
Group stage action starts on the 23rd of November, with the groups set as follows:
