The third week of League of Legends Nova League brings decisive games, more victories for ahq eSports Club, and the first round between HK and Azubu sister teams.
Games in the LNL so far have been long and back and forth, but this week, teams seemed tighter, and victories more decisive. The first game escalated quickly from two kills for an execute on GreenTea's play-making Thresh, and ahq took their second victory against HKA Priest. The game ended at twenty one minutes, setting the tone for the rest of the weekend.
After YouCantStopMe then bested HK Attitude with a fifteen thousand gold lead, the first sister team face of LNL occurred. Much more confident this game, HKA bested HKA Priest at just twenty six minutes, utilizing Caitlyn's early turret pressure. Then, in Saturday's last game, ahq crushed YouCantStopMe's Kog'maw with repeated ganks bottom to give them a 6-0 record in LNL so far.
On Sunday, the decisive victories continued with TPA retiring their marksman-less composition against Cyber Games Arena LEGENDS. They gave up dragons, but pressured turrets hard and dominated in kills, ending the game at twenty eight minutes. In the second game, Azubu Taipei Snipers' MiSTakE debuted his support Morgana against World Championship veterans yoe Flash Wolves. Morgana's ult initiates forced the wolves to scatter, making them easy pick offs for Nidalee and Ezreal's high single target damage, garnering them their second victory in the head-to-head series.
Luckily for the Flash Wolves, they redeemed themselves quickly against Cyber Games Arena LEGENDS in Sunday's third game. The fourth game was an anticipated face off between the Taipei Snipers and Assassins. It was clear the sister teams knew each other well, and Morgana support went top with Zonda to counter the 2v1. MiSTakE continued to make good use of the Morgana pick, and the Snipers seemed to perfectly predict the Assassins' moves all the way up until the end, giving them their second victory of the week.
