Rumors have surrounded Freeze's roster status for the upcoming season, but fellow NiP team member, Deficio, officially assured fans that Freeze will remain the AD carry for Ninjas in Pyjamas.
At the end of the summer playoffs for season three, Ninjas in Pyjamas found themselves slipping into the upcoming EU relegation matches with Meet Your Makers and SK Gaming who failed to qualify for the regional tournament. There, they will have to face challenger teams to regain their place in the LCS for the Spring season in 2014. Perhaps as a result, rumors began to circulate regarding Freeze, who many consider to be a very high caliber AD carry player in Europe, and his future with the team.
These rumors were only exacerbated when Aleš "Freeze" Kněžínek failed to move into the new Ninjas in Pyjamas gaming house after the World Championship. Many of Freeze's teammates ended their vacations early to prepare for upcoming relegations, but Freeze was nowhere to be found. Instead, another player named MrRallez began playing with the team. In addition, speculations on Reddit regarding a potential EU super team began to gain momentum, and many choice fictional rosters featured Freeze.
Martin "Deficio" Lynge, who plays support alongside Freeze for NiP, posted on Twitter today, officially ending all Freeze roster rumors. He announced Freeze will be arriving at the gaming house next week, and that MrRallez is only a substitute player for the team. Those who herald the Freeze and Deficio duo as one of the best bottom lanes in Europe applaud the news.
I'm happy to 100 % confirm that @FreezeLoL will play for @NiPGaming in S4. He will move to our house next week. MrRallez is sub.
