The underdog team from the SEA region has announced that they are disbanding following their defeat against SKT T1 at the Season 3 World Championships.
After defeating sister team of the Season 2 World Champions Taipei Snipers in the Taiwan Regionals, Gamania Bears earned a spot in the Season 3 World Championships playoffs. To their misfortune, they had to play against the team that would eventually win the entire Season 3 World Championships, SK Telecom T1.
Despite their performance at Worlds, the team went on to secure a spot in 2014 GPL Winter as well as the 2014 LNL Winter. New rules enforced by Riot discluded players under 17 years of age to be able to participate in their tournaments. All 5 players were removed form the roster and team itself has decided to disband entirely, giving up their place to another team for GPL and LNL.
Despite facing the undisputedly strongest team at the tournaments, the players are reportedly very stressed out about their performance after dropping 0-2 to Korean powerhouse SKT T1, even though they had brought home $75,000. Unfortunately, the team was rooted against by their own fan base for taking the place away from Taiwanese Taipei Snipers, who the country believed would show a much stronger regional showing at Worlds.
