Earlier today, it was announced that Cologne, Germany will once again be hosting an IEM event. The two tournaments will take place on the 23rd and 24th of November.
The IEM Pro Tournament will consist of six teams, two of them being the very best of the CIS and the Turkish circuits. As for the four remaining teams, they are all participants of either the Europe or NA summer LCS. It is an event with a twist, however, as the viewers via their votes will determine which four teams will participate. The European representatives are Fnatic, Lemondogs and ALTERNATE, but one can only vote for two of them. The same rule applies to their American counterparts CLG, Cloud9 and Dignitas. The poll for the NA teams has already started in the Intel Extreme Masters Facebook page. Voting for the European teams will commence later in the day.
The professional tournament's prize is set at $50,000, whereas four more teams will lock horns on stage in the IEM Amateur Tournament for $30,000.
