The jungler for team Curse shares his thoughts on the new patch and points out how the changes will affect the pro scene.
According to him, the old Katarina build including Hextech Gunblade might be viable again due to the increased ratios on her spells. Lucian would also be more competitive due to the buffs affecting his mana issues. With so much changes on Olaf, even Saint is not sure how the champion will fit the current meta, and points out the need for experimenting before reaching a conclusion. And last but not least, Saint comments on the Trinity Force changes.
Patch 3.12 was released on 01.Oct.2013. While it affects few champions, it would seem that the current meta will be affected mostly from the Trinity Force changes. With increasing the cost and reducing the movement speed bonus for ranged champions, the utility and value for gold money of the item will drop down. Corki and Ezreal will be the two main champions affected by this change, which is likely to balance the game, since the two picks almost seem mandatory if the champions are available, especially on the pro scene.
