In a complete wash-out, SKT T1 advances to the semi-finals, taking the spot away from Gamania bears.
Game 1
The underdogs of Gamania Bears faced off against SKT T1 to kick off the final night of quarterfinals. It was a case of David vs. Goliath with SKT T1 showing their domination straight away. Most noteworthy was Bengi's incredible presence, starting the game out 3-0 and ganking at just the right times.
Despite SKT T1's map dominance, Gama Bears individually showed a promising performance and stood toe to toe with a few of the Koreans. However, the team play was just way too strong coming from SK Telecom T1 and in that respect, Gama bears looked very outclassed. The game was pushed onto a game 2 after a few catches that sealed the deal for SKT T1.
Game 2
Game two showed SKT T1 riding the momentum and the bears struggling against the pressure. In the most one-sided set in Worlds, SKT T1 showed they outclassed the bears and were on entirely another level. In just over 20 minutes, SKT T1 showed utter domination and Gama bears were knocked out of the tournament in less than an hour.
