?In a shocking upset, Royal Club took first place over OMG, though both teams have made it onto the world stage.
Although OMG were without their very powerful support and were instead using a substitute, it was still a shock to see such an upset between the two teams. OMG was very dominant for the entirety of LPL in the same sense that WE used to be clearly above the rest in China.
To kick the series off, Royal Club went with their usual unconventional antics. At this point, Annie seemed like a staple, common pick for Royal Club's Tabe. As always, Royal Club had a fantastic focus on Uzi Royal Club's Whit3z also continued picking champions like Fizz to compliment the heavy assassination capabilities held by China.
While OMG performed well in the initial footing into the series, Royal Club really stepped up their play both with standard, conventional picks as well as their unique strategies. Curve balls were thrown and while OMG adheres very well to the traditional Chinese meta, they had trouble keeping up when it came to Royal Club on their A-Game.
In the end, Royal Club ended up pulling out a decisive 3-1 victory over OMG, maintaining their composure over the initial point down. While both teams made it to worlds, most teams wouldn't have suspected Royal Club crowning themselves as allegedly the strongest Chinese team in the world after this set.
