In the first day at Gamescom, 4 teams move onto the playoffs and only Lyon Gaming falls behind. Meanwhile, KMT and CW move onto the playoffs.
Today exemplified the power of teams that are not yet partaking in the LCS. GamingGear.Eu gave a powerful 3 and 1 performance, only tying the Brazilian powerhouse paiN Gaming in performance. Team Immunity, the team hailing from Australia, also moved onto the playoffs to face GG.eu. Unfortunately, Lyon Gaming would not make it.
Meanwhile, Copenhagen Wolves with the help of Rekkles were able to best TCM in a 2-1 to proceed to the finals against KMT, who cleanly swept AT Gaming out of the water in a convincing 2-0. The two tournaments finish off tomorrow, with the long-awaited EU LCS Playoffs to follow on Friday.
