An AD Carry returns to his team, the classic rivals meet, and losing streaks continue with Week 8 of the EU LCS.

The eighth week of the European LCS kicks off with a classic matchup between Gambit Gaming and Evil Geniuses. Unfortunately for some of us, we were not able to see Diamond on his Karma jungle once again, even though it was open. They did go for a new marksman pick with Twitch, while EG chose a particularly powerful late game comp with Kassadin and Vayne.
The gold difference throughout the game was really close between the two teams. However, GMB's gold mostly came from Dragon control, while EG's was from Kassadin snowballing. As such, Froggen became way too powerful come mid-to-late game, and with Vayne getting farmed up as well, they crushed the Russian squad, getting a win and 3-0 in their matchup.
Up next was the battle of the screaming Spaniards as SK Gaming went up against Team ATLERNATE. It seems Karma is going places again, as this time Kerp was the one using her. We also get to see the return of Creaton, who was out of two weeks due to a broken wrist. Though not fully healed, he felt that it was okay enough to play for his team.
It was not okay, however - it was great. Props to SK Gaming for forming a potent AoE lockdown comp, but they unfortunately were not able to time their ults right. Instead, they were controlled the ATN's poke comp, especially Creaton on Ezreal. He performed like he was never injured, kiting around ocelote and his teammates. With his allies providing even more peel, they secured a very thorough win against SK, seemingly reigniting the winning streak they had showcased in Week 1.
Next we have a top versus bottom battle, as Lemondogs faces Meet Your Makers. The Polish team chose a double AP, late-game scaling team comp, hoping that this would be the answer for their current slump. On the other hand, the current top dogs went for their usual picks, except for Tabzz and his Kog'Maw, forming a lockdown lineup with him and Twisted Fate providing heavy fire.
It was a long and hard-fought match. Though both teams are well-known for their aggression early game, they still played it very safe, most probably because of how much impact one win could do in this state of the split. In the end though, it was the leading team Lemondogs who gained the upper hand, as they slowly and surely got ahead of MYM, adding more distance for themselves on the leaderboard.
