CRS vs C9
Day 2 of the 8th week started with Curse Gaming against the red hot Cloud 9. The game started with massive aggression as both teams started with an extremely violent poke war at the mid-bottom river bush. Fortunately for both teams even though damage was dished out nobody suffered any casualties. Cloud 9 performed with a casual first tower at bot lane by pushing Jacky out in a 1v2. Curse however would respond as soon as Jacky hit 6, getting the Requiem to grab first blood and grabbing the mid tower.
Even with the kill lead on Curse, C9 remained vigilant on grabbing global objectives. With the gold advantage constantly in C9's favor, Curse had to play with care. Cloud 9 remained patient and only fought when they would come on top. After catching Curse at Baron, C9 crushed through Curse and grabbed Baron as well. With Baron under their belt C9 just decimated Curse in their own base to end the game.
TSM vs DIG
Old rivals TSM and Dignitas squared off to try and top each other in the standings. Dignitas started the game hard picking up first blood off of Reginald. Dignitas had a fantastic early game as they managed to read TSM's dragon strategy and get it first. TSM unfortunately fell into Dignitas' bloodlust and was being picked off one member at a time going 1 for 5 in Dignitas' favor.
It was at this point that Dignitas would fall prey to TSM, as Reginald would come in and ace Dignitas after fighting Scarra 1v2 with Dyrus. After the ace Dignitas would once again get aced causing the kill difference to become even at 15 kills apiece. Like all classic matches in the making Dignitas started making a comeback again after a big throw. After seeing Regi farming the bot lane, Dignitas rushed the baron. TSM came in to stop them in a 4v5, but without Reginald's fed Kassadin TSM became cannon fodder for Dignitas.
With Baron secured Dignitas looked unstoppable as Patoy would catch TSM with a great Crescendo. Dignitas managed to push all the way for the middle inhibitor. Once everyone came back up both teams started heading towards Baron. Dignitas after getting their first once again caught TSM that eventually pushed for an ace. With this win Dignitas is one step closer to 3rd place to push TSM down to 4th.

VUL vs CRS
The third game was between the 2nd place Vulcun against the 7th place Curse. This was an important game for Curse as this game would determine whether they could ever have a chance for their dream of second place. Vulcun however wanted to prevent that from ever happening by crushing Voyboy for first blood very early on. Curse tried to counter that with a gank for Voyboy very early on picking up a 1 for 1. Vulcun and Curse would continue trading blows with kills, however Vulcun would pull ahead with global gold.
With the team composition Vulcun ran, engages were not be a problem with a Malphite and Sona. The Ashe/Zyra composition from Curse did very little when the chain crowd control destroys them immediately. Vulcun continued utilizing their strong team fight potential by picking off members of Curse at every fight. The moment that determined the end of the game happened when Vulcun initiated a 3 v 5 with Curse having the high man power. Vulcun came out of that fight with a 5 for 1 completely dominating over Curse. With more and more gold flowing into Vulcun's pockets, they once again crushed down Curse and grabbed Baron to end the game. Vulcun with this win now has a cushion from third and Curse has no way of getting that second place.
