?Coming off the back of a good week, Curse's dominance would come to a halt when they fought off against Dignitas in a much closer match. Curse would assert their dominance early on by taking out the first 3 turrets of the game. Voyboy put his split pushing skills to the test by having his team just narrowly holding off turrets and waveclearing while he successfully did work on his own. Despite the turret lead, the teams were very even in terms of gold. It wasn't until a heaping mistake that Dignitas would start snowballing things and bringing the ball to their court.
Dignitas was able to take three consecutive middle turrets in the face of Team Curse, later losing their inhibitor as well despite Voyboy's greatest attempts to divert pressure to himself with his split pushing. The situation would continue to go downhill from there with morale likely being low after the first slip up where Saintvicious missmited far too early. After getting caught out and unable to take the pressure, Curse dropped their final game to Dignitas.
Even though Velocity's had some luck with their roster change in the last week, it would turn to be a disaster for them this week. A 0-3 presentation would be shown by the team after this slaughterhouse of a game. Every lane struggled and even though there were some individual plays that stood out and could shine, Velocity ultimately crumbled apart. Noteworthy to mention is Evaniskus' inconsistency with having a very solid 3-man bubble to save frommaplestreet in the bottom lane followed by several poor and sour performances afterwords from whiffed ults to be caught indefinitely. Velocity would dig their grave even further while Coast breaks their 5 game losing streak.
The final game to close out the North American LCS will no doubt be a featured game in our next Top VODs feature as heartpounding action occured all over the map. Link showed complete bravery by engaging in extremely close calls at low amounts of HP, calculating just how much he could get done with his character and showing comfort with his Ahri pick. Doublelift, while by no means slaughtering the opposition, was able to almost more than double the farm he had over Zuna with some impressive multikills and waveclear assisting CLG in turtling for as long as they had.
Abusing Zuna's overzealous nature of grabbing farm and stopping him in his tracks, Link went for a DFG burst build on Ahri and would slaughter him everytime he came to farm. Even after losing multiple barons, dragons, and inhibitors, CLG's lategame persisted through once again and even allowed them to secure a victory against Vulcun, bringing them to a 3rd place tie with Team Solomid.
