Following the loss for Cloud 9 by the hands of Counter Logic Gaming, Curse and Dignitas came to see if they can step to the plate today while facing Vulcun and Team Coast.
Vulcun Command vs. Curse Gaming Drafts?

This rematch would kick off with a refreshed Curse against Vulcun, after a long superweek where they had met before. Going for an ultra aggressive all-in team, Curse was not able to build a substantial lead with their dives in the early game. In fact, counter ganks proved to be their demise and punished Curse for their overaggression. A 2-0 start would loom over the Curse players in what looked like the continuation of an awful slump since the start of LCS.
There wasn't much going in favor of Curse as the midgame came along and they were slowly going to their demise. Not only was Vulcun crushing Curse with a late game comp and removing any possibility for Curse to scale with their lineup, but the slow and painful push really made Curse understand how far behind they were for a very long time. Vulcun were prepared and did not give up any opportunities for Curse to play their way back into the game.
Historically, Vulcun has had a very solid record against Curse and this record continues as Curse continues to need to find a way to crawl out of this pit they've dug for themselves in the Summer split. Starting off the Spring split at the top of the scoreboards, they find themselves at the opposite end of the standings at the end of W2D1.

Team Coast vs. Team Dignitas Drafts

The game to end the night would be a rematch between Team Coast vs. Team Dignitas; Dignitas was looking for revenge and opted to do this through their own flavor of play. The flow of the game would remain fairly static for the early parts of the game, but with an interesting twist. KiWiKiD unsuspectedly went for the Twisted Fate pick, a full-fledged AP carry in the mid lane. Zed was picked for Scarra and he was able to show what he could do with unconventional new foundation for Dignitas.
Straight away, Team Coast looked to have the advantage early on, albeit a very small one. As soon as Coast showed a vulnerability, KiWiKiD tested his new TF pick by bravely Gating inbetween the bottom towers of Team Coast and grabbing first blood for his team, followed by an execute. Though it took awhile for Dignitas to solidify a lead, they'd bring back their old dominant Season 2 roots of their prime.
Once they acquired enough of a gold lead, Dignitas remained in their lanes, shoving and dueling whoever came to meet them. Scarra had a particuarily notworthy game on Zed; Scarra tore through the bottom lane and dueled and killed DontMashMe, by himself. Unable to confront him, Team Coast would force an uncomfortable base race but ultimately, a final teamfight near the red side Lizard Elder camp would sweep Team Coast away, allowing Dignitas to prevail in the rematch.
