Kicking off the 8 game day, we'd see some interesting and non-conventional picks and play straight away. Velocity would dive into the game with what would seem like two supports with one being an AP Janna. However, this Janna had a partner in the midlane that was capable of shoving almost two mid towers with the shielded-Ezreal auto pokes, even if Velocity picked up the first two kills in the game.
Though Dignitas finds favorable fights, it did not outpace the rate that Velocity was able to obtain objectives, being 3 turrets up to 0 as well as having a dragon before the 15 minute mark even came in. While Crumbzz was showing a lot of map presence, he wasn't able to stop Velcocity from invading on their own jungle. Dignitas was in a desperate struggle to obtain map control.
?
As the game progressed, Dignitas would be able to seize some territorial advantage, grabbing 2 turrets of their own and offering up some freedom, but with 5 turrets down, Velocity still had the huge advantage. Velocity continued to relentlessly assault Dignitas and maintain their lead, only Dignitas was still coming out ahead on teamfights even if 7 turrets behind.
Eventually, Dignitas would drag out a game that should have been a sure win and form a hectic defensive force. Relentlessly defending and even batting off the power of a 6 item Tristana in able to secure a win that was almost impossible for them to Grasp. Dignitas acquires their second win in the split after narrowly escaping defeat.
In the next game of the evening, NintendudeX would bring back his infamous jungle Tanklesticks in hopes of scoring 1st place for his team and surpassing the hyped and powerful Cloud 9. Though the solo lanes were having trouble, things were looking up early on for Team Coast with a strong bottom lane and a successful ganking jungler.
As things proceeded along, NintendudeX would prove just how potent and powerful his jungle choice is with the incredible amounts of fear being the source of many successful clean-up duties and lane assistance. After Team Coast secured an early dragon, Coast 9 would be hard pressed to find a way to come back in the game, which they did once Balls on Rumble would acquire a game changing double kill in the mid lane.
?
Moving onward, Cloud 9 showed their impeccable teamfight potential by finding small, victorious skirmishes across the board. Wanting to prove valiantly that they are the strongest and most fresh team in the region, the pressure was applied and domination would enuse. Utilizing cooldowns perfectly to synergize epic team fight skills netted Cloud 9 another win, leaving them yet to be defeated in the LCS.
