The fourth match of the day is one of beginnings. For Counter Logic Gaming, the debut of their new roster; for Velocity eSports, their first step into the LCS. Right off the bat, Velocity seemed to have a lead with Nk Inc stealing bigfatlp's red buff, as well as constant pressure in the mid lane by frommaplestreet and Evaniskus. It was Cris, however, that put Velocity ahead by getting first blood from Nien.
From that point, it was noticable that the three CLG members taking on new roles isn't as effective as they though it would be. Nien looked confused, bigfatlp was constantly outplayed, and Chauster failed to land effective hooks. Though there was one teamfight that seemed to utlize CLG's champions well, Velocity maintained constant pressure, slowly and surely dominating the game.
The fifth match of the day is between the spring champions and the hyped newcomers. With both of them getting a win in their previous matches, they plan to keep the ball rolling and gain more momentum in this super week. For the first 30 minutes, it was a very close fight, with towers and kill trades happening left and right. It was pretty intense watching these two teams battle it out.
However, Cloud 9's teamwork and positioning, in particular Meteos' Zac plays and Hai's Kennen ults, finally gave them a solid lead, being able to end up in more and more advantageous bouts. Eventually, the pressure was too much for Team SoloMid and they slowly lost their inhibitors and other objectives, leading up to them getting aced and surrendering.
For the final match of the day, it was Team Coast trying to snag a win after being defeated by Team Solomid, versus a confident Vulcun Techbargains who were triumphant against their rematch against Curse Gaming. With a jungle Fiddlesticks being picked by Nindentudex, it seems that the Spring Split runners-up were going to have a squishy lineup, and could be easily squashed by Vulcun's high burst team.
It was a deception, however, as Nintendudex went for a tanky build. Add to that a first blood to Sycho Sid by him and ZionSpartan, the team was able to gain an early lead through ganks and objectives, and they never let it go. Teamfight after teamfight, the boys from Coast somehow managed to gain a lead with a sliver of health from each of its members. They dominated Vulcun even more during the mid and late game, till it was simply too much to handle.
