Good Game University's road to success was a tough one. After a devastating first half of the split, leaving them in last place, they clawed their way back to a 6th place spot and qualified for the playoffs. Then, they skyrocketed to fame after defeating top contenders Team Dignitas and Curse Gaming, ending up with a 2nd place finish, just behind Team SoloMid.
Now, a new chapter begins for GGU, as they don a new jersey for the second half of season 3: Team Coast.

"Hey guys, This post details several important changes at GGU. First, GGU has a new ownership group. We are looking forward to more professional management. We are also pleased to announce that beginning today, GGU will change their name to Team Coast, with our short handle: C. You can expect a lot from us with these changes - - more content provided by the players, team jerseys and apparel, and lots more. Our web site will be up and running on June 15th, with exclusive content from members of Team Coast. We will be releasing vlogs, master guides, and gameplay footage weekly once the website is up! You’ll be happy to hear we will finally have a gaming house for the summer split - - so expect a house tour soon. Keep up with GGU as we become Team Coast, and follow us as we fight to win the Summer LCS Split. Along with the high level of support from our new ownership group, Team Coast is dedicated to work very hard towards our ultimate goal: to win the World Championship."
With Danny "Shiptur" Le's visa approved, Justin "Jintae" Dinh will now return as a substitute for Team Coast.
Another big announcement is the addition of Cody "Elementz" Sigfusson to the team as coach. A long-time player, Elementz has years of experience playing in top caliber teams such as Counter Logic Gaming and Curse Gaming. The knowledge he has accumulated will definitely be an asset in helping his new team prove that they earned their second place finish.
