Fnatic and SK meet in the finals of IEM Cologne

The koreans came back today stronger than ever, but only one of them would pull through to the finals.

Fnatic pulls through as most would suspect, but in very close games. Fnatic launches their games against CJ Entus with promising performance, wielding the advantage of a first blood in all 3 games. Game 1 would show a strong showing from CJ Entus, pulling ahead 10k gold and having Fnatic left in total helplessness.

Fnatic attempts to claw back into the game with a desperate baron, showing fairly favorable performance, but it just wasn't enough and after a long bout, CJ would narrowly escape a close fight. CJ attempted a baron off of that and took it home.

Game 2 would show nRated's superior mechanical skills, landing a first blood straight away on himself. As the game progressed, he'd become one of the most fed supports to be seen in competitive play. Fnatic would use this lead and extend it all the way into victory.

Game 3 would have Singed roaming and applying pressure everywhere. Caitlyn would fall way behind in the bottom lane, but get a kill on Diana which was much needed. Though XPeke would show one of the weakest performances in awhile, Fnatic would find themselves in the finals.

MYM vs SKT1 would not show the Europeans prevailing this time around, however. Game 1 kicked off with a first blood for Miss Fortune with the help of H0R0 in the jungle. The game was back and forth and well fought, but ultimately SKT1 would shred the previous IEM victors into shreds.

Game 2 Showed some of the genius in SKT1's strategy as they utilize constant labe swapping to put the odds in favor of SKT1 after noticing the lack of armor on MYM's AP carry. The teamfights were intense, and the efforts were great from MeetYourMakers, but despite their greatest attempt to stay in the game, SKT just rolls through them.

Despite the infancy of SKT1, they've shown unbelievable play in making it this far into the tournament with so many strong teams. Do they stand a chance to take out arguably one of the strongest if not the strongest team in the world? There's only one way to find out!
