LGD would kick off the set in an attempt to secure a top four placement.  A crazy level one would start off the LPL and kickstart LGD to a gargantuan lead.  LGD were able to grab three kills early just from the first engage. Shortly after, the "standard" lane setup would commence

This ended up throwing Positive Energy in an immensily disadvantageous situation, as the first Miss Fortune in competitive play commanded by lovC would get obliterated by Styz' Caitlyn. For this reason, LGD absolutely crushed the opposing bottom lane and seized complete control of the map.

An intense way to kick off the week.

While Positive Energy found a few glimmering areas of hope to secure advantages due to LGD throwing a bit, it wasn't enough to shift the power levels of either team enough to the point where LGD could still be contested.  After grabbing the first inhibitor, LGD were able to snowball it from there and close out the first game.

Positive Energy came back in game 2 with a strong bight and an insatiable thirst for revenge.  Jungling Jax in the first game, one would question Ycc's tolerance of the role as he locked in Twitch jungle in this game -- and boy did it pay off.  Early camps made it impossible for LGD to lane and any momentum they had from the previous game had dropped.

The second Ryze returned back to lane, Ycc's twitch jungle was there to intercept his teleport and send him back straight away.  After this. Star found himself decimated and Ycc continued his domination on the jungle rat, getting incredibly fed and even picking up a Sword of the Occult to compliment his performance.

The sneaky rat did more than just cause havoc in this game -- he completely carried it.

As a result of jungle pressure, Positive Energy found themselves in commanding leads of all lanes.  As a shaky team, they occasionally found themselves caught out, but still maintained form.  With the help of a well-placed (or lucky) cross-map ultimate from LovC, Aluka was able to further dominate top lane and become an unstoppable Jax.

With a commanding lead unseen in any prior Positive Energy game this split, LGD found themselves quickly losing grip at their attempts to win the game.  Positive Energy finally managed to close out a game and pulled a strong comeback after a demoralizing first game, not only defeating LGD, but crushing their chances at a top 4 finish in the LPL.

 VS

This game was a very important one due to OMG's return of Cool for the first time this split.  OMG started off the game strong by acquiring first blood and first dragon.  The game felt a lot more calculated and slow compared to the last set, however, Cool seemed slow to adapt on his return, a dismal return to fill the shoes of the region's current MVP of Xiyang.

Cool's adaptation back into the pro scene did not show as Zz1tai was grossly outperforming him in both farm and kills.  20 minutes in, 0-3 was the score on the star mid laner.  Invictus Gaming as a team played aggressively, invading OMG's red side in the mid game to find more advantages.  OMG were getting caught out a lot more than they traditionally would in this game.

A complete wash-out fight by Invictus Gaming at the dragon.

At around 25 minutes, OMG decided it was time to group and focus on team fighting and pushing objectives.  Little did they know just a minute later they'd be meeting their doom in a dragon fight where Invictus Gaming crushed them.  However, directly after, OMG wins a baron fight and looked to push and end.

However, OMG overstayed their welcome and ended up losing a fight at Invictus Gaming's base.  Invictus Gaming responded to this victory by pushing down two inhibitors.  The game seemed in iG's hands here, but OMG were able to turn and punish iG for the same mistake, killing them off and taking the game 1-0.

The final game would end the day in an entertaining fashion with picks including Zed for Zztai, Kayle for PDD, Alistar for Allen, Nunu for Pomelo, and Tryndamere on Ggoing. OMG decided to get cheeky this game and establish dragon control once again -- this time, with a 2-man dragon with a bloodboiled Tryndamere/Nunu duo.

Kid showed his prowess on his latest favorite champion, Ezreal, whom he picks at every venture possible.  While there were many close duels between the laners of iG and OMG, Kid was able to land an Arcane Barrage that secured a lead for Zz1tai once again against Cool.

Allen, the noble and sacrificial cow.

Invictus Gaming once again crawled in the lead; however, OMG did a good job at pulling lots of pressure bottom with the Nunu / Tryndamere pairing against from Ggoing and Pomelo.  Invictus Gaming kept a calm head and held onto their lead into the late game after the 25 minute mark, transitioning this into a baron.

Invictus Gaming looked to show they have remedied their prior late-game closing troubles, albeit a bit sloppily.  A bit of miscommunication had Kitties engaging over the wall prematurely, getting taken out right away.  However, Invictus Gaming played it out well and were able to take a very crucial win against OMG, tying the set to 1-1 and securing their fourth place finish.
