Honcast.com's HoNor Tournament Invitational began over two months ago.

Eight teams battled their way through the qualifiers, followed by many exciting matches between the top teams in HoN. After fourteen teams were eliminated one-by-one, only two remain: Evil Geniuses and SK Gaming.

EG has yet to lose a series in the tournament, defeating four increasingly difficult opponents on their way to the finals. Now, they're about to face their toughest opponents yet.

SK Gaming got to the finals the hard way, grinding their way through the Loser's Bracket for the past five matches. They've established a winning streak of their own and pose a major threat coming into this match.

These two American powerhouses have been close rivals since the HoN Beta, proving that they have what it takes to consistently stay at the top of the competitive scene. They met in the quarterfinals of the GameReplays TS3 Invitational, where EG swept SK 2-0. Before that, SK took out EG in the GosuGamers HoN World Cup Loser's Bracket finals. The "1600%" line became a classic story after SK made [eG] chu eat his own words. (See this article for explanation and even more history.)

EG is now, of course, without chu, but they are still as strong as ever. Currently, they are ranked #1 on both the GosuGamers Rankings and the Honcast Community Rankings. Factor in their nearly flawless run in the Winner's Bracket, and they look like the favorites to win the first HoNor Tournament.

But SK surely won't go down without a fight. Recently, in the championship bracket of their own SK HoN Tournament #1, they placed 3rd after defeating Reason Gaming 2-0. EG was knocked out by Reason in the first round.

When EG and SK renew their rivalry in the HoNor Tournament Invitational finals, you won't want to miss it. Tune in to the Honcast stream on Sunday, April 17th at 6:30PM PST / 3:30AM CET!
