The human brain
This is a gigantic step in the help for immobilised people with brain and body injuries. In the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, there is an article about how two patients in Madison, USA, who implanted electrodes in their brain for a breathtaking experiment. These electrodes were put in there for the patients to control a marker on a computer sceen simply through thinking. This evolved into one of the patients playing a very simple computer game similar to the game Pong. "It was like a battle between the computer and my 'inner computer'" Chandra Malmquist said, who is one of the patients.

Just a game - think of the future possibilities

A neurologic expert - Joseph Pancrazio sees this experiment as a huge success. He indicates that we are twice as far as when the first airplane was built. He, among many others, hopes that this new technique will help out the injured people incapable of moving. Just last month, a 25-year-old quadriplegic implanted electrodes in his brain, and was able to read e-mail, play video games, turn on lights and change channels on the TV. This shows the advanced levels this can be developed to.

StarCraft with your brain?

The development of this is going really fast, but so far an advanced computer game like StarCraft can't be controlled with your mind. However, in a couple of years you might be sitting in front of your computer, doing what you've only done in your dreams - building up your army and microing with your mind.
