Samsung India Electronics Ltd is planning to expand into the computer games market in India by bundling cyber games with its computer hardware. Within the context of this project they are planning to pump 1 million US dollars in promotion alone in India this year. “We will be spending $1 million towards promoting computer gaming in India this year. This will include promotion of the World Cyber Games here which for the first time is moving out of Delhi and Mumbai into 10 other Indian cities,” Mr Srikrishna, the deputy general manager of Samsung India Electronics Ltd.He also states claims that the computer games industry worldwide is a $27 billion business led by players like Sony’s Playstation 2, Microsoft’s X-box and Nintendo.
