Week 1 of the 2021 Call of Duty: Mobile Garena Invitational is set

Earlier today a schedule was confirmed for the 2021 Call of Duty: Mobile Garena Invitational (2021 CGI) which urged its combatants to “Break Your Limits”.

Building on the previous cross-region event, the Call of Duty Mobile World Championships 2020 – Garena Qualifiers, 2021 CGI is set to feature a total of eight teams from six different regions, including: Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau combined. These eight participating teams will battle it out in a Group Stage – where we will see the first weekend of action coming to us from Friday, March 19^th through to Sunday, March 21^st, while the second week of intense gameplay will arrive on Friday, March 26^th and run through to Sunday, March 28^th.

From this, the top six teams will advance into the Elimination Stage, which will take place on both Saturday, April 3^rd and Sunday, April 4^th, where the top two teams from the group stage will head to the upper bracket, while the rest will play through the lower bracket in a double-elimination format. The eight teams battling in the 2021 CGI are:

-          Indonesia – DG Esports

-          Malaysia – Yoodo RSG

-          Philippines – NRX Jeremiah 29:11

-          Philippines – NU Anarchy

-          Singapore – ALMIGHTY

-          Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau – Raptors.DNS

-          Thailand – Astro.1s1k

-          Thailand – Sharper Esport

NRX secured their invite into the 2021 CGI via being champions of the 2020 Garena Regional Qualifier, while a second spot was allocated to Thailand as they are the host region. The schedule for the first week of Group Stage action is out and can be seen below.
