Romanello near lead after Day 1B of EPT Berlin

Fresh off his victory at WPT Bratislava, Roberto Romanello is off to a good start and near the lead again of the €5,300 buy-in EPT Berlin main event. The current leader heading into Day 2 is Sander Berndsen of Netherlands with 242,900 in chips.

There were 458 entrants on day 1B, added to Day 1A's 315 entrants making a 773 player field with 353 playing on Day 2. A prize pool of €3,865,000 has been created by the field, with the top 120 finishers getting paid. The winner will take home €825,000.

Notables who did well on day 1B included 2008 WSOP main event champion Peter Eastgate (110,200), the aforementioned Roberto Romanello (152,400), Johannes Strassmann (132,000), and Sebastian Ruthenberg (126,400).
