Roblox is officially crossing over into Fortnite next season.
99 Nights in the Forest, one of the most popular games on Roblox, is coming to Fortnite Override, the battle royale’s next season, which is set to launch on 20 August.
The ginormous Roblox platform hosts hundreds of thousands of games, but 99 Nights in the Forest has remained one of its biggest titles since launching in 2025. It is a survival horror experience–more survival than horror–that places players in the middle of a forest, where they must rescue four trapped children while evading unkillable beasts such as The Deer.
It is a massively popular experience, having peaked at 14 million players in October 2025. While the craze has since slowed down somewhat, it still regularly sees more than a million players flock to its biweekly updates.
With the game now entering Fortnite’s massive universe, 99 Nights continues to cement its relevance, becoming the first-ever Roblox title to cross over into Fortnite. It is also one of several popular Roblox titles getting a film adaptation by Story Kitchen.
What is in the 99 Nights x Fortnite crossover?
The 10-second 99 Nights in the Forest x Fortnite announcement clip shows Peely fishing in a lake in the middle of a dark forest, clearly inspired by the setting of 99 Nights in the Forest. The Deer–bloodshot-eyed and hungry–then creeps up behind Peely.
There are no further details regarding the collaboration for now. Fortnite tends to withhold details until a day or two before a collaboration goes live, so expect to see more information as Override approaches.
What collaborations are coming in the Fortnite Override lineup?
Fortnite “Override”, the name of the game’s Season 7 Chapter 4, is launching next week, with several major collaborations rumoured around the season’s “gaming legends” theme.
Speculation began when a set of lobby codes on Fortnite’s official server were released, although they have since been deleted. Fans quickly began linking the codes to potential crossovers in the upcoming season.
The first code was GottaGoFast, which did not take long for fans to link to Sonic the Hedgehog. SEGA confirmed the crossover yesterday, making the brewing speculations seem all the more believeable.
The next code was SurviveTheNight, prompting a back-and-forth within the community over whether it referred to Five Nights at Freddy’s or Minecraft. It ultimately turned out to be a nod to 99 Nights in the Forest instead. The reveal has received some heavy backlash, with many questioning how the Roblox game fits into the presumed “gaming legends” theme.
The two other codes are TakeYourHeart and Perfect Order, which the community has linked to Persona 5 and either TETRIS or Geno, respectively. There have also been rumours of collaborations with Kingdom Hearts, Pac-Man, Mega Man and Crash Bandicoot. However, of all these possibilities, only Sonic the Hedgehog and Roblox’s 99 Nights in the Forest have been confirmed.
More will be officially revealed as we approach the launch of Fortnite Override on 20 August. The season will follow Season 3, “RUNNERS”. The season featured collaborations with Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Masters of the Universe, The Amazing Digital Circus, and more.
