A brand-new Strawberry Sniper weapon has been added in Roblox's Grow A Garden 2, following its weekend update.
Over the weekend, Grow A Garden 2 has released its first update since its smashing debut on 13 June. The game introduced the Aurora Event, adding several new gears–crucial for the game's combat-focused direction–alongside a new weather event, pet, and plant.
While this update was not as extensive as those typically seen in the original Grow A Garden, players were visibly eager to jump in and try out the new additions. The update had recorded near one million concurrent players–setting a new all-time peak CCU for Grow A Garden 2.
Trailing after the weekend update, the developers introduced another exciting piece of gear called the Strawberry Sniper, alongside a brand-new selling system. Here's everything you need to know.

What new gears have been added in Grow A Garden 2?

The Megaphone, Player Magnet, and the Strawberry Sniper are three new gears introduced to Grow A Garden 2, each offering vastly different abilities.
The Megaphone appears to be a purely cosmetic item, allowing players to play random sounds through a speaker with adjustable volume settings. It serves no practical purpose beyond entertainment, although some players may see it as the perfect tool to audibly troll their neighbours. As a Rare gear, it is relatively affordable, costing 8,000 Sheckles or 49 Robux.
The Player Magnet, meanwhile, is a far more useful tool for your nighttime shenanigans. It can levitate and pull nearby players towards your position for 10 seconds. However, it does not function within safe zones, meaning players cannot be dragged out of their bases or from the central shop area. The Player Magnet is a Mythic gear that costs a hefty 7 million Sheckles or 1,149 Robux.
While these two items may already be familiar to players who participated in the weekend update, a third and even more expensive weapon, the Strawberry Sniper, was added to the game's arsenal shortly afterwards.
What does the Strawberry Sniper do?
The Strawberry Sniper allows players to fire strawberry projectiles at opponents, dealing damage and knocking them back. The weapon is particularly effective for defending your garden from thieves or taking down escaping players carrying stolen crops.
The Mythic Strawberry Sniper is currently the most expensive weapon in the game, priced at 12.5 million Sheckles.
What new seed has been added in Grow A Garden 2?

The first Grow A Garden 2 update introduced just one new plant: the Venom Spitter.
As its name suggests, the Venom Spitter is an aggressive plant capable of spitting venom at nearby thieves, making it a reliable defender for your garden while you're away conducting your own "business". It is also a multi-harvest crop that produces large leaves adorned with a glowing pattern.
Available through the Seed Shop, the Venom Spitter is a Mythical crop that costs 30 million Sheckles or 1,195 Robux, with only a 0.475% chance of being in stock.
What new pet is in Grow A Garden 2?

The latest pet added to Grow A Garden 2 is the Bear, a defensive companion designed to protect your garden. When intruders approach, the Bear will pin them down, before tossing them away from the area.
The Mythic Bear has an extremely low spawn chance of just 0.225%, and players will need 5 million Sheckles to purchase one.
On the subject of pets, the update initially introduced Pet Server Teleporters to the Robux shop. These items allowed players to teleport to servers containing pets of a specific rarity they had selected, such as Legendary, Mythic, or Super pets. However, the feature was removed shortly after being added.
How does the Aurora Borealis weather event work?
The latest weather event added to Grow A Garden 2 is the Aurora Borealis, which grants crops a brand-new Aurora Mutation during nighttime.
Aurora Borealis is now part of the standard weather rotation alongside events such as Lightning, Snowfall, and Bloodmoon.
The Aurora Mutation is currently the most valuable mutation in the game, applying a massive 90x multiplier to a crop's selling value, while also giving it a distinctive purple glow.
What is the new selling system in GAG 2?
One of the more controversial changes introduced in the game's first update was the removal of the "Bargain" selling option.
Previously, Bargain allowed players to earn additional money from their crops and progress more quickly. It has now been replaced by a riskier alternative called "Double or Nothing".
With Double or Nothing, players either receive double the value of their inventory or nothing at all. If successful, players can choose to cash out their doubled earnings immediately, or risk everything again for another round of Double or Nothing.
A new Daily Deal option has also been added, allowing players to sell their inventory for a significantly higher payout. However, this bonus can only be claimed once per day.
