What is Crazy Taxi: World Tour?

Crazy Taxi: World Tour is an all-new instalment in SEGA’s long-dormant Crazy Taxi game franchise. Its last entry, Crazy Taxi Tycoon, was a mobile game released in 2017. The franchise hasn’t touched home console platforms since 2002’s Crazy Taxi: High Roller. Hence, this sequel was a long time coming.

The game’s new trailer is set to The Offspring’s “All I Want,” and it officially reveals the return of Axel as its main protagonist. This time around, Axel is setting out on a high-speed ride across the world, after a mysterious driver takes him on an international adventure.

Crazy Taxi: World Tour’s story campaign will take Axel across five unique cities globally. The game will also feature online multiplayer racing, car customisation, and an overhauled classic mode. Crazy Taxi creator Kenji Kanno is helming the new game, with SEGA publishing.

Crazy Taxi: World Tour is launching on Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC in 2027.
