For the Emperor… and liberty!
This week’s Warhammer Skulls Showcase 2026 livestream gave fans of Arrowhead Game Studios’ PvE shooter Helldivers II a rather pleasant surprise. The grimdark universe of Warhammer 40,000 is officially coming to Helldivers II, in the form of an all-new Legendary Warbond.

Is Helldivers II getting a Warhammer 40,000 crossover?
Fans of the PlayStation Studios-published PvE democratic third-person shooter Helldivers II have clamoured for a crossover between the game and the larger Warhammer 40,000 universe for quite some time. While such crossovers may have seemed unlikely at first, recent collaborations between the game and franchises like Halo seem to have opened a few doors at Arrowhead Game Studios.
During the Warhammer Skulls Showcase 2026 livestream held this week, Helldivers II game director Mikael Eriksson popped up to confirm the long-awaited news: a Helldivers II x Warhammer 40,000 collaboration is happening at last. Eriksson noted that “at Arrowhead, we believe these universes fit perfectly together,” with the studio being filled with “diehard Warhammer fans.”
Precise details on the collaboration weren’t revealed during the showcase, but Eriksson did confirm that it will consist of a Helldivers II x Warhammer 40,000 Legendary Warbond. If the previous Helldivers II x Halo ODST Legendary Warbond is anything to go by, it’s likely that this Warbond will include new weapons, armour sets, and cosmetics like capes and skins.
More details for the Helldivers II x Warhammer 40,000 Legendary Warbond will be revealed later this year. No release date for the collaboration has been announced.
