AG Super Play defeated Dragon Ranger Gaming to win the King Pro League Spring 2025 and secure a spot in the Honor of Kings World Cup 2025.
Chinese Honor of Kings powerhouse All Gamers Super Play (AG Super Play) defeated Dragon Ranger Gaming, 4-1, in the King Pro League (KPL) Spring 2025 to claim their second consecutive KPL title. This also marks AG Super Play's third overall KPL championship and Dragon Ranger Gaming's first grand finals appearance since their inclusion in the league.
As the winner of the King Pro League Spring 2025, AG Super Play will take home CN¥4,795,727 (US$662,640) and a spot in the Honor of Kings World Cup 2025 in the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
AG Super Play didn't have the most convincing start in KPL Spring 2025, only managing a 3-2 score in Stage 1 of the tournament. Despite that rather unimpressive record, it was still enough for them to top their group in Stage 1. But starting in Stage 2, AG Super Play looked unstoppable as they earned a perfect 5-0 score in Group S, the strongest group in the league filled with other top teams from Stage 1.
They continued their fantastic performance in Stage 3, where they once again got a perfect 5-0 score to top their group. Once the Playoffs started, AG Super Play were placed in the upper bracket semifinals and completely dismantled Edward Gaming with a 4-0 score. They continued their journey with another victory, this time against Weibo Gaming in a 4-2 win. The victory placed them in the grand finals against Dragon Ranger Gaming.
The KPL is the highest regional league of Honor of Kings in China, where the tournament winner will be crowned the best team in China. The winner of the Spring 2025 edition will get a slot in the Honor of Kings World Cup 2025. Meanwhile, the second to fifth-placed teams will get a place in the HERO ESPORTS Asian Champions League 2025 Knockout Stage.
