VP and TEAM VISION set up showdown for a spot in TI 2026 in the European qualifier

Day four of the TI 2026 European qualifier also saw two more teams fall out of contention for a spot in this year's Dota 2 world championship tournament.

Two more teams inched closer to a spot in The International (TI) 2026 while two others have been eliminated in the fourth day of the tournament's European qualifier on Wednesday (25 June).

Virtus.pro (VP) and TEAM VISION (aka PARIVISION) will face off in the third round of the upper bracket for a spot in this year's Dota 2 world championship tournament after they defeated Yellow Submarine and Power Rangers, respectively, in the second round. Meanwhile, IC x Insanity (ICI) and 4ikibamboni have been knocked out of contention by MOUZ and HULIGANI.

IC x Insanity and 4ikibamboni get knocked out of TI 2026's European qualifier

The action in the fourth day of the TI 2026 European qualifier kicked off in the lower bracket, where ICI and 4ikibamboni were knocked out of contention after losing to MOUZ and HULIGANI to conclude the qualifier's first round of eliminations.

MOUZ were the first big name of the qualifier to get knocked down to the lower bracket after losing to Yellow Submarine in day two. The threat of elimination seems to have galvanised MOUZ, as they soundly swept ICI in a series with just over an hour of game time.

MOUZ opened the series by stomping ICI to the tune of a 23-10 kill lead in 33 minutes of action behind a stellar performance from offlaner Miroslav “BOOM” Bičan on Lycan, who finished with a clean nine kills and 13 assists. Game two was an even more one-sided affair, as MOUZ completed the sweep in just 28 minutes. Remco “Crystallis” Arets on Night Stalker and Nai Zheng “MidOne” Yeik on Huskar combined for a clean 14 kills and 21 assists to help keep MOUZ's hopes for a spot in TI 2026 alive.

The second elimination series of the day then saw open qualifier winner HULIGANI eliminate 4ikibamboni in a 2-1 reverse sweep.

4ikibamboni won the opening game of the series by successfully weathering a mid game timing push from HULIGANI to take the win after 49 minutes. However, HULIGANI were quick to strike back by routing their opponents in 31 minutes to force the series to a decider. Mid laner Miras “Mirage`” Mutanov on Ember Spirit paced his team's lopsided 30-6 kill lead with 13 kills and 14 assists on one death while offlaner Ivan “Vazya” German on Dark Seer added a clean 11 kills and 17 assists.

Game three was a back-and-forth bloodbath, as both teams desperately battled to stay in the qualifier before HULIGANI ultimately pulled away in the late game and secured the 2-1 reverse sweep in just under 52 minutes of action. Mirage pushed his team to the next round of the lower bracket by racking up 16 kills and 11 assists on four deaths as Invoker.

VP and TEAM VISION to face off for a spot in TI 2026

The competition then shifted to the upper bracket, where VP and TEAM VISION put themselves in position for a spot in TI 2026 by defeating Yellow Submarine and Power Rangers.

Of the biggest contenders still in the upper bracket, VP have arguably been the most challenged. While they defeated ICI in the first round, they had to pull off a 2-1 reverse sweep just to defeat a team that came from the open qualifier. That trend continued against Yellow Submarine, as VP once again lost the opening game of the series but still emerged victorious after three games.

Yellow Submarine came out swinging to start the series and won game one in 36 minutes behind strong performances from its core players. Carry player Maxim “Shigetsu” Popadinek on Shadow Fiend and offlaner Bohdan “Batyuk” Batiuk on Tiny had 10 kills apiece and combined for 18 assists against five deaths between the two of them, with mid laner Alexander “Rain” Nekrasov on Storm Spirit adding nine kills and 19 assists on one death.

VP responded by dominating Yellow Submarine in a 33-minute game two, where the international squad finished with a 31-14 kill lead. Abed Azel “Abed” Yusop on Pangolier led the way with 13 kills and 15 assists on two deaths while Enzo “Timado” Gianoli on Lifestealer added nine kills and 10 assists on two deaths.

Game three then saw VP lead from the get-go, but Yellow Submarine put up a stubborn defense that was ultimately broken by their opponents after a 56-minute grinder. Abed and Timado once again topped the kill board as VP finished the closeout game up 44-19, with Timado on Windranger racking up 19 kills and 13 assists on three deaths while Abed on Pangolier again had 16 kills and 20 assists on two deaths.

The day then closed with TEAM VISION, by far the biggest favourites of the qualifier, making short work of Power Rangers in a 2-0 sweep.

TEAM VISION opened the series by stomping Power Rangers in 27 minutes to the tune of a 41-10 kill lead. Volodymyr “No[o]ne” Minenko on Invoker led the way with 16 kills and 14 assists on two deaths while Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov on Kez added 13 kills and 10 assists on just one death.

Power Rangers put up a better fight in game two, notably shutting down Satanic's Drow Ranger and forcing him to finish the game with seven deaths. However, TEAM VISION still showed they were levels above their opponent and secured the 2-0 series sweep after 36 minutes of action. Evgeniy “Noticed” Ignatenko on Centaur Warrunner paced his team's 38-23 kill lead in the closeout game with 14 kills and 11 assists on two deaths.

The fifth day of the TI 2026 European qualifier will see the first two teams earn a spot in this year's Dota 2 world championship tournament. The day will kick off with Team Spirit taking on Nigma Galaxy, followed by a showdown between TEAM VISION and VP.

After those qualification matches, two more teams will have their campaigns for a spot in TI 2026 come to an end in the second round of the lower bracket. Natus Vincere will face off against MOUZ while Power Rangers will take on Team Bald Reborn.
