Known globally for its world-class Counter-Strike 2 tournaments, BLAST entered the Dota 2 scene in November last year. Since then, the Danish organiser has successfully hosted BLAST Slam I in November 2024, BLAST Slam II in February 2025, and BLAST Slam III in March. Each BLAST Slam tournament features a prize pool of US$1 million with the champions walking away with a total of US$400,000 in winnings, with the players earning US$300,000 while their organisation receives US$100,000.
BLAST Slam IV will notably be the fifth of nine tournaments BLAST is scheduled to host until November 2026, as part of its commitment to the Dota 2 scene. It will also be the first event of the series to feature a live audience, with the first three editions being hosted in the BLAST Studio in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Tundra Esports have been the dominant force of the BLAST Slam series, winning BLAST Slam II and III and finishing second in BLAST Slam I behind
BetBoom Team.
