compLexity Gaming swaps out Deth for Monkeys-forever

Ahead of the MDL Disneyland Paris Major, compLexity Gaming has made a decision to change out Yang "Deth" Wu Heng for Jaron “monkeys-forever” Clinton.

Replacing Yang "Deth" Wu Heng comes only two weeks before the MDL Disneyland Paris Major which compLexity qualified for three weeks ago.

The candid press release issued by the organization indicates that the stresses stemming from the constant visa issues the team has suffered from is one of a few reasons the change needs to happen.

Today we are announcing the departure of Wu Heng “Deth” Yang from our Dota 2 squad. As an organization, we understand that the timing for this is not ideal. We never enjoy making roster changes, especially just weeks before a Major. In this case, both Deth and the team felt this change was needed, despite the unfortunate timing.

While the mutual decision was made shortly after the conclusion of ESL One Mumbai, this was not a reaction to an early exit from the event. This roster change comes as the conclusion to a number of internal discussions that have taken place over the recent weeks. The team has experienced not only the normal stress that comes with a competitive atmosphere, but also the additional stresses of visa issues and the adjustment to living far from home. Ultimately, a mutual decision was reached that would see Deth leaving and returning to Singapore.

Unlike the way things were handled with Team Team, compLexity has already indicated that Deth will receive his share of the prize money from the upcoming Major and will continue to receive a salary through the event.

In the meantime, the organization is welcoming back NA veteran Jaron “monkeys-forever” Clinton, who will assume the offlane roll for compLexity during the MDL Disneyland Major.

The team had struggled to find themselves since November when they took on three SEA players to fill in their roster — Adam "Adam" Shah, Yang "Deth" Wu Heng and Galvin "Meracle" Kang Jian Wen. Partly due to visa issues and complex problems with keeping their roster intact to scrim and boot camp together, the team started to look as if they were picking up the pace, as well as some of the missing pieces including Murielle "Kips" Huisman as coach.

Singapore  Galvin "Meracle" Kang Jian Wen
Sweden Linus "Limmp" Blomdin
United States Jaron “monkeys-forever” Clinton
United States Zakari "Zfreek" Freedman
Malaysia Adam "Adam" Shah
