Hao fans are given a glimpse of hope of a possible return to competitive Dota for The TI4 Champion.
In the post TI6 shuffle Newbee registered some serious player losses, as three veterans of the team, Chen 'Hao' Zhihao, Zhang 'Mu' Pan and Wong 'ChuaN' Hock Chuan announced their retirement. On the 19th of April this year, Newbee’s captain made a small but emotional post to announce his decision to step down for at least six months: “I will rest for half a year, or possibly forever. TI, I have won it, I have lost it, and it's all in the past now. This year, I have let the fans supporting me down, I am deeply sorry, hopefully you (fans) will get used to the tournaments without me, and I also hope you will continue to support me” said Hao back then.
The new Newbee have done extremely well so far with their two amazingly skilled youngsters, Xu 'uuu9' Han and Song 'Sccc' Chun and it’s hard to believe that Hao’s recent registration for the Boston Major as substitute can mean that he will replace one of these two. However, Uuu9 and Sccc are supposed to travel to United States of America for the first time in less than a month and Hao might have been added to the team just in case the notorious visa problems for the Chinese teams strikes again.
