After their good run in the first session of TI6 European Open Qualifiers, Danish Bears found themselves a new place to call home by signing with the United Kingdom based organization, Imperial.
Danish Bears, also known at times as the CIS slayers, had constant and well-rounded performances through the year with good results in all the minor tournaments they’ve participated in. They became the team to look for in the tier two tournaments and the many regional qualifiers after they defeated NA’VI, Vega Squadron and Polarity at the Epicenter qualifiers. Reaching the grand finals, where they had to play against Team Secret in the most contested bracket of TI6 open qualifiers only confirms their ascendant trajectory from the lower tier pool.
By signing the Danish stack, Imperial branches out for the first time into the Dota 2 world. The organization has been present in eSports from 2007, in the beginnings as a console oriented one with teams reaching top European rankings at Call of Duty, Gears of War and FIFA. A year later Imperial expanded to PC games divisions for Call of Duty 4 and Counter Strike: Source. Their CS:GO team registered some success through 2009, however the organization closed its doors in 2011.
After nearly five years, Imperial comes back into eSports by signing both CS:GO and Dota 2 squads.
